What is the "normal" ferret sleeping pattern? About how much time do
ferrets spend asleep or awake during a day? I'm a recent ferret owner, my
ferret (Taz) is about 2 years old(best guess), I've had him about a month.
He eats normally(or at least regularly, i'm not sure how much they usually
eat) and seems to have alot of energy when he's awake(not always a good
thing) but it seems that if I didn't find him and wake him up, he'd sleep
all day long. Once I wake him up, he's active for however long I play with
him, or about an hour if he's just messing around on his own. But then he
goes back to sleep. He was overweight when i got him, not fat, just a
little rounder than normal, mostly because the person i got him from
couldn't let him out much because he doesn't like other ferrets. So I know
he's out of shape. Is he just being a lazy bum or should I worry about it?
Should I play with him 6 hours a day to get him back in shape?
