It's not bad enough that this site (www.ferrets-ferrets.com) seems to
imply that ferrets are rodents "ask about rodent care", it also list
this sentence.. "Sometimes it's good to cut off the tip of the canine
to prevent biting."

How could any self respecting ferret shelterer, rescuer or enthusiast,
recommend cutting a ferrets teeth to keep it from biting.

This will not keep the ferret from biting, it just might not hurt so bad.

I have tried to email the webmaster at this site, but it keeps bouncing.
Does anyone know who the author of this site is, or how we can contact
them?

It's hard to go out into the public each weekend and try to educate
people on proper ferret care, and the joys of having them in your life,
when we have to fight this type of propaganda.

I usually just hang on the background, and let others have the stage
(they've been here longer than me) but this bugs me. I can't see why
anyone would think that mutilating an animal would change his/her
behavior, rather than trying some love and positive reinforcement.

  (stepping off of soapbox)
