I apologize for the cross-post, but the same issue has arisen in both
mailing lists, and I can't let it go by.  Please, please do not give your
ferrets any alcoholic beverages or allow them to have access to them.
Your ferrets can die or suffer long term health effects if they consume
too much alcohol.  Alcohol and ferrets do not mix.
