Jean from "Ferrets Unlimited Ferret Shelter" asked if anyone had a similar
experience.
 
About 2 years ago my friend, who owns a small pet store, had a young ferret
returned because it was supposedly "mean" and a "biter".  I really didn't
want to adopt another at the time and suggested he contact Marshall's.  They
offered to replace the ferret so that he wouldn't lose his investment and
let us take the ferret (who was really a sweet, very loving baby girl) to
F.A.I.R. in Westmont, IL.  Mary Van Dahm was nice enough to take her and I
believe she was later adopted out.
