Jodi,

I posted the following a short while back in response to someone else who
was looking for proglycem (diazoxide). I had the same problem you're
having, and my vet recommended a compounding pharmacicst:

The pharmacist's name is Simon Lorberg, at Liberty Drugs, 110-02 Liberty
Avenue, Richmond Hill, NY 11419, tel 718-845-2681, or 877-733-5533. My
vet put me in touch with him, because my local pharmacist could only get
proglycem in a chocolate mint syrup, which my little Alfalfa would detest!
I'm in New Jersey, so Simon sends me the meds via UPS. I don't exactly
what the formula is, but the vehicle is an oil that smells to me like
mainly sesame oil, perhaps with a bit of cod liver oil. My other ferrets
want to lick Al's face after he's had his meds, so this apparently appeals
to them too. Good news in case any of them ever develops insulinoma.
The concentration of this formula is 10 mg per 30 mls of solution. Al
gets .5 ml twice a day, and it ends up costing me about $70 a month.
Still not cheap, but the previous formula was costing me three times that!
