As someone in So Cal, I'd say that there are several veterinarians
here in San Diego County who do exotics and who advertise that they
treat ferrets You can look at a list at
http://www.ferretsanonymous.com/vets.html
which addresses California vets.

If you contact me directly by email I can give you my personal
recommendation for San Diego county where there is a very good, caring
veterinarian I think highly of. There is also one in Orange county I
have heard good things about.
