A couple of drops per day of Ferretone is all that's needed. Too much
will cause the fur to become dry and brittle - it will also cause stool
to be soft and mushy.

Marshall Farms Food is an excellent food - however, I don't ever feed my
ferrets just one food. Blend in other foods as well - Totally Ferret,
Iams Kitten. This allows them to be more open to new foods. Ferrets
tend to fix on whatever food they are eating as a kit, and that becomes
the preferred food for life. In later years, if you need to switch a
diet for health reasons, you will have one heck of a time if they've only
been eating one particular brand.

Clumping Litter: A recent report from a cat breeder in CA indicates this
may not be the best litter to use. She lost several litters before she
realized the kittens were ingesting the clumping litter when cleaning
themselves. It collected in their stomach/intestines where is caused
blockage problems, dehydration from drawing off stomach and intestinal
fluids into the litter, and other problems.

Once she switched back to a regular litter, her survival rate went back
to normal.
