Ferretone is about the only treat we give.  The ferrets love it and it
is good for them.  On the down side it can be really messy and almost
impossible to get out if you stain your cloths with it.  We frequently
cut our ferretone with 40-50% extra virgin olive oil to cut costs.  This
also allows us to give a little more frequently without concern.  As for
how to give it...well we use eye drop type bottles.  These are small
enough to fit in your pocket and deliver just a drop or two at a time.
They are also pretty good at containing the mess.
