Hi! I hope someone can give me a little help. One of my ferrets vomited
this morning. This really scares me because it is my understanding that
ferrets rarely vomit unless something is really wrong. I am almost certain
it is McKyle, not Merlin.

1. I saw vomit on the floor, but did not actually see who did it. It was
near where McKyle was, though. It looked like it had not been down very
long. It consisted of what looked like chewed up food and water. There
wasn't a lot, maybe a tablespoon full at most.

2. Both ferrets have been acting fine all day since then. They appear to
be playing, eating, drinking, and sleeping as normal. No other indications
of illness that I can see.

3. However, McKyle did have a bit of diarrhea this morning, 2 loose,
light-colored stools. He had 1 or 2 loose green stools when we were
traveling over the holidays, but he has been pooping fine for a couple days
since then (until now), so I figured that was due to stress from traveling
and strange relatives.

4. McKyle looked a bit dehydrated, so I gave him about 4 cc's of Pedialyte,
but he didn't want anymore after that. (He preferred to play.) I gave
Merlin some too, just in case.

Can anyone offer any advice as to what might be wrong or what I can do? Is
an intestinal blockage a possibility? Or am I just being paranoid? If
anyone can help, please e-mail me A.S.A.P.! Thanks so much!
