Dear Miss Sweet Charity,
Do you swing low? Oh, that's a chariOT, not a chariTY! Sorry, gotta get
the dictionary back from Miss,
Well, anyway, since the Two-Few Crew is down to three, our hooman said
we could ALL answer. So, here we go:
(1) What Is Your:
(A) Name? Odie (aka Odie-Capodie), and I will also speak for Skitch and
Gandalf (aka Gandy). They both came from the Ohio rescue and I have
been here longer, so I get to talk!
(B) Sex? Boys -- all three of us!
(C) Age? Not real sure. I joined the Wayfaring Weasels in Sept. 2006
and I think they said something about me being about 2 or 3, then. We
thought that Gandalf was about 4 or 5 when he joined us - he was in
BAD shape. But, in Dec., the vet and Mom looked at him in amazement and
figured he can't be more than about 3. His coat is now soft and white
and he is able to eat and he gained lots of weight! He still has very
bad teeth, though! And, Skitch is only 2 at the most. We have been
buddies since he told Mom in October that he was going home with us.
(2) Do You Have A Favorite: (If Yes, What Or Who)
(A) Hooman? We only have MOM!
(B) Food? Totally Ferret. Gandy gets Carnivore Care and Pingford's
Porridge, too. Mom mixes it with a/d and ground kibble and
something called vitamins! We eat it when Mom isn't looking! And,
it doesn't matter really what kind of food it is if it is on the
floor -- it's always better there!
(C) Treat? Totally Ferret treats, but only the ones that look like
sticks. I don't like the triangles. And, I like N-bones and
sometimes I like the chewweasels. The others like them, too, and
sometimes they will even eat the triangles, but the sticks are
better! Oh, and we like the 8-in-1 Ultimate soft food, too (what
do you mean, that's NOT a treat?).
(D) Toy? I recently developed an attachment to a purple ball like those
you put in the ball bin -- don't tell Mom, but I also put those
teeth marks on the OTHER balls, too! Gandalf likes his stuffed
animals. Skitch doesn't care -- he plays with everything. And, we
like to kill the crocheted eggs, but we don't like them nearly as
much as Sammy did. We miss him.
(E) Blanket? Whatever is on the bed.
(F) Hammock? Nope, but we will all pile up in one, even if Mommy has 4
or 5 in the cage. We like to share!
(G) Sleep Sack? Oh, aunt Cindy sent us some furry sleep sacks -- she
really sent them to Jersey and Sammy -- that were so BIG we could
all fit in them. We LOVE them so Mom let us keep them after Sammy
and Jersey went to the Rainbow Bridge.
(H) Bed? We LOVE the wonderful beds that Diane Iverson sends us every
year! She sews SO good and they are so pretty and sturdy! AND, she
also donates them to help ferret shelters! THAT is important! They
are our FAVORITES!
(I) Pet? Skitch likes to sleep in the stuffed animal box -- and we
join him. Does that count?
(J) Other? We got a hanging sleeper many years ago -- before ME,
even! -- that is really big. We can get inside and all of us
pile up together. It has something called a "Coco-cola" logo
on it. And, sometimes I hide in the floor pad that came with it.
(3) Do You Steal And/Or Stash Hooman: (If Yes, What)
(A) Clothing?
(B) Food? Shh! Mom's liable to look for our stashes!
(C) Treats? Uh, you're not gonna tell, are you?
(D) Bank Card? Naw, she loses that one enough on her own!
(E) Check Book? Hee, hee, hee -- she has THREE of those right now --
she keeps misplacing them! Doesn't need any help from us!
(F) Money? That goes in the ferret bank to send to SOS!
(G) Mail? Unh-uh.
(H) Remote Controls? Nope!
(I) Keys? She leaves them in the car!
(J) Toys? Tunnels! We all love tunnels! And crocheted eggs and stuffed
toys and the trash (did I say that out loud?) ... Well, Gandalf
hid his favorite rabbit when we visited Louisiana, so Mom got him
a stuffed duck, Waddles, when we visited Auntie Brenda. She is the
nice lady who picked me up and got me my shots for Mom before I
moved to CT.
(K) Other?
(4) Where Do You:
(A) Poop? In the litter box or the paper beside it -- or any corner,
but especially by the door, hee hee!
(B) Wee-Wee? See (4)(A).
(5) Do You Like To Bite Or Nibble: (If Yes, What And Who)
(A) Arms? Nope, I don't bite! Skitch will lick them; Gandy, too.
(B) Fingers? Nada.
(C) Hands? No, sirree.
(D) Legs? Well, Skitch likes to jump up under pants and grab the calf
to get Mom to play with him.
(E) Toes? Gandalf likes to take Mom's toes in his paws and groom them.
She starts hopping around making a funny sound -- says it tickles!
(F) Feet? Oh, yeah! We ALL love to play with the feet -- Mom dances
when we do!
(G) Shins? I grab them when I want up, but I don't bite them!
(H) Noses? Nope
(I) Ears? We like to give "Wet Willies" to Mom!
(J) Other?
It's amazing how much can be accomplished if nobody cares who gets the
credit!
