"How do we know that this shipment of mail will reach the North Pole?"
Shiva asked, struggling for elbow room inside the package.
"Because I put Santa's address on the outside!" Rosie answered.
"Wait," Maxie said. "I think that the truck is moving."
"Off we go!" Sammi exclaimed, as the ferrets nustled together inside
of the envelope aboard the mail truck. They traveled for thirty minutes or
so and the truck stopped. The back door opened and some men began unloading
the packages.
"Hold on!" Rosie yelled, as they were picked up by one of the men and
tossed in the air to land atop a pile of letters and packages.
     "Ouch!" Wiggles stated.
"Get your paw out of my ear!" Shiva replied.
"Where are we?" Sammi asked, as she heard parcels and letters being
piled on top of them. Finally, after a few minutes, they heard one of the
men say, "That's the last of the mail to the North Pole. The plane takes
off in ten minutes."
"Woah," Sammi said. "Rosie is so smart!"
"I take offense to that notion," Wiggles declared.
"Okay girls," Rosie commanded. "Start digging, we had better get some
air before we suffocate!"
"Good idea," Maxie replied, as they all began scratching their sharp
claws at the inside of the envelope. Soon they were free and out of the
pile of packages.
"It's dark in here!" Shiva noticed.
     "I'm scared," Sammi added.
"Hold tight, sisters!" Rosie said. "We'll be there pretty soon!"
