Melissa and Potpie here -

Potpie went in yesterday for her annual shots and i got to talk to my vet
about reactions and whatnot. Dr. Daldin said that whenever she saw multiple
reactions to Fervac she sent the batch she was using back and got a new one.
Expensive, she said, but she was tired of watching ferrets get ill, and
she's aware they're working on reducing the rate of adverse reactions to
their vaccines. I was pretty pleased to find out she was reporting vaccine
reactions...

Anyway, that leads to Potpie, who last year had a violent reaction and began
projectile vomiting all over the darned place about 10 minutes after getting
her shots. So this year, I thought, better she dirty their cages and
bedding than my coat and carrier, right? I left her at the vet's all day
and called to check up on her - she'd been FINE. perfectly all right. No
vomiting, no diarrhea, just sleepy. And the vet tech had taken her out at
lunch to play with her and let her sniff around. I suppose the not-sick is
for the best, but ...ooo, that weasel will do anything to foil my great and
wonderful schemes. :)
