Hey,
I have a question for the more experienced please.

I have 4 ferrets

My friend has 3, all are healthy & ADV negative so we thought it would be
really cool to start having playdates at each others homes for fun.

This is so terrible my friend & I had a very uncomfortable evening
because her large male kept bullying all of my 4 to the point of
screaming out in pain. My 2 males are about 3 yrs of age and my 2
females about 18 mos. My friends males are young about 18 mos. She
also ahs a 8 month old female. She tells me her males 'play' like this
all the time--she hears this screaming all day long and feels it is
natural. Well maybe it is natural for her brood but after a while it was
clear to me my babies were no longer enjoying themselves and I ended the
session. With my friend saying stuff like my ferrets just don't know how
to play. I felt like I was in the playground when my kids were small &
dealing with bullies.

Do you think this will always continue with this large male or will it
settle down with time? he is just a year & a half is clearly the
dominant in his home but this went on at my place too :(

I am so disappointed thinking it would be a great stimulus to both sets
of ferrets to have this opportunity.

What do you all think?

Thank you so much
Mary Ann
