Hi, I have been lurking for a couple of weeks now and have finally decided
to post. I have a 4 and 1/2 year old, sable, male, altered, named Roscoe
(short for Roscoe Pico Train :) Well, he was diagnosed with helicobacter
about 3 weeks ago. I'm pretty sure I caught it before it got really bad.
I read the FAQ and could hardly understand any of what it said. I am not
up on my medical terminology. Could anyone please translate the article
on the FAQ for me?

I would appreciate it greatly. Well the history is, We moved to New York
from Texas a year ago. We moved in with family and he always had lots of
attention. We moved 4 months ago out on our own. He was definetely
depressed and lonely, but he was not feeling better. He in not very vocal
either. He is still on Amoxacillin, .15cc 2X daily. He seems to be
feeling better also. It is hard to tell though. Sometimes he still has
tarry and runny stools. I want to get another ferret to keep him company,
but I think the Helicobacter is contagious. Any info would be greatly
appreciated. He has been very healthy up to this point.
