Just a heads up, for shelters especially.

There are several scams targeting shelters right now. This morning I
got one that specifically used my name and shelter in their email.

Since shelters depend upon donations to survive, look at the amount
being donated (is is reasonable) along with gramatical or spelling
errors suggesting it is coming from a different country. Never accept
a donation that requires you to send part of it to another charity.
