I am always amazed that anyone could think animals *don't* feel emotion.

Anyone who is in doubt may want to pick up a copy of the book
_When_Elephants_Weep_ -the emotional lives of animals. By Jeffrey
Moussaieff Masson and Susan McCarthy. $13.95 paperback. ISBN #
0-385-31428-0. I have only started reading it. (Bought it a few months
ago, started, put it down, got sidetracked...) Looks to be an excellent
read though. Ferrets are not mentioned in the index, nor polecats.
Weasels are mentioned in passing in a discussion on food cacheing. The
concept of animal emotions transcend species lines though, so the
information can be applied to ferrets or any other critter.
