Hello everyone, time for some information solicitation.

I have two questions. The first is whether there is one healthy color
which a ferret's skin should be. We have three ferrets, and two have
pinkish skin, but the thired seems to have a darker bluish black. It is
hard to tell because she has very dark underfur, this is also on her
back, cause her tummy is fairly pink. I just want to know if it is
something I should worry about, or if it is normal to have a bit of
variation.

Secondly, I know that this is a common question, so if people would
prefer to just email a response, feel free. But I am wondering what the
best healthy diet for a ferret is. We feed ours Iams kitten food, and a
treat every once in a while, but that is about it. Whats up with the
milk suppliment I have sort of seen every once in a while? Should there
be anything else we feed them? Fruit, vegetables, super sugars coated
cereal bombs? (just kidding) But what is the *optimal* diet?

Thanks for any help.
