Hey Everyone,

Just when you thought it was safe. . .

Thought I might just check in a bit and let all of my fans know how I am.
Yes, you can read heavy sarcasm here, since I know I am just so
indispensable when it comes to the fml!! ;-)

Me and all of the ferts are doing well. We finally got some carpet put
back in and it seems to be pretty much ferret proof. Now if I can just
get the dog to quit peeing on it.

Speaking of the bald squeaky toy dog known as Tiki, she has adopted yet
more ferret habits. She has now learned to jump into the empty bathtub to
check it out. Brock does this on a regular basis to drag the soap and
washcloth around. I don't think Tiki has figured that part out but she
does get in there to see what's up.

She has also learned the fine art of taking a shower with me. After
watching the ferrets do it for quite some time, she is know known to walk
into the shower on occasion However, this is not acceptable to me, since I
simply cannot abide wet dog smell. So she usually limits herself to
mimicking what the less adventurous ferrets do, sticking the head under the
shower curtain for a drink of soapy water. Sigh. I knew the dog had an
identity problem, but it seems to be changing daily.

The fat boys are already putting on extra weight, as are several of the
others. I am really worried about this since it is still around 90 here.
But then, I do keep the house very chilly, or as Cath always says, like a
meat locker.

I am doing wonderful. I have actually been quite busy, and being selfish
with my time. I have forgone most of my email and visiting to spend time
with a very special someone. Yep, gots me a man type friend. He is
terribly handsome with long very, very black hair and wonderfully not blue
eyes, they are a deep smoky gray color. And wonder of wonders, he is 32.
hehe. Very respectful, very patient and he will actually tell me to shut
up. Will wonders never cease. He has a degree in art and arch and English
and works as a graphic artist. Yes, I think he is quite fetching. We both
love film noir and literature. He has an adorable dog named Flannery. For
those that might ask, yes it is after the writer. What can I say, a man
with a dog named after a Southern broad writer.

Does he like the ferts? Well, he says he doesn't like the smell but that
doesn't seem to inhibit him from visiting on a very regular basis. Sylk
is my escape artist and always comes up to Chris to give him a kiss
(ungrateful bugger won't kiss me!). And Chris is memorizing their names.
Besides, my scaredy cat Connor, who doesn't like anyone, took to Chris
instantly and will sleep in his lap. This is a first folks!

I have also been doing the web site for a local, well, kind of a social
organization. I love working with it and the folks in the group.

Next week school starts and my time will be very limited. So I will just
check in once in awhile and pretend you all want to read about me.
Besides, need to run. Myrna Loy is demanding my attention, she hates it
when I am on the computer. So she is busily nipping my legs to get my
attention. Better run before I am completely black and blue

hugs to all the ferts,

Maggie and her Magnificent Mob Of Mid Mo Musties
