Shelley,

At 6 weeks of age I would be more worried about the ferrets eating the
kitten, not the other way around. They should always be closely
supervised together. I have a black cat also, raised with and around
the ferrets since the age of 6 weeks. She thinks she is one of them,
crawls in the cage with them, knows which one (due to losing 3 ferrets
in a couple months time, there is only 1 now she has be be alert around)
to keep away from when he is in a kitty biting mood. When she is alone
with Taylor she plays with him well, there is never any teeth or claws
involved on eithers part. Now with Kaos it all depends on his mood.
Kitty is not declawed and does not used claws with any ferret, but Kaos
can get carried away with the nipping and she knows to get out of their
room, quickly! But, your new kitty being so small and young would be
more concerning than what damage kitty can do to the ferrets.
