I just started participating in this list and it has helped tremendously.
My munchkin is about 3.5 years old and very healthy acting. My question
is whether I should be worried about insulinoma from an episode she had
about a year ago. She was playing like crazy and then stopped dead in her
tracks in the kitchen staring off into space, a droplet of saliva on her
mouth, and then when I picked her up to ask her what was wrong she went
into a convulsion and couldn't hardly walk. She kept trying to get away
from me to go under the couch. As I cried over her and tried to comfort
her, my husband called the emergency vet line. After about twenty minutes
she got better and then seemed fine. I put her to bed and she did seem to
sleep more over the next day. The vet and I had no idea what happened and
she told me not to worry about it since Lisa was better. I have never
seen anything else happen with her and she gets LOTS of attention (much to
my husband's dismay at times!-he's frustrated with the little carpet shark
behavior!:) ANyway, now after reading the medical information I am worred
that she has insulinoma. Should I take her to the vet? Also does anyone
know of a good ferret vet in Missoula Montana?

No longer blissfully ignorant,
