Hi!

It's been a while since I last posted - I've been short on time this
semester. I just wanted to say that while I see how a muzzle could send the
wrong message - I've also been toying with the idea of creating one. One
of our ferrets, Snitch, really goes after strangers (both people and
ferret strangers). She seems to do it because she is afraid. We hope that
if we can control her viscious biting, we can put her into situations that
we couldn't otherwise, and hopefully, she will learn that there isn't a
reason to be so afraid & attack. We were thinking of it as more of a
training tool, not the solution, or law suit prevention.

I have just recieved permission to scan my ferrets and my parents pregnant
dog (I am an ultrasound student) U elp show some of my narrow-minded
teachers that this is a developing field with many applications. We have
acquired a vetrinary US machine - and I've decided to start wit U'Aery,
who's got splenomegally since I'm sure I can at least identify 1 organ.
Before I get up in front of the class and make a fool of myself...what are
the major differe UQ in ferret anatomy that I am likely to encounter. I am
assuming that they have the same organs in the same basic places as we do.
If this assumption is wrong - please let me know Um:ne of the books I own
go very in detail about their anatomy - any recomendations?

One last question - a while back I think I remember seeing methotrexate
mentioned as UO,rt of chemotherapy. I am only familiar with the use of
this drug for disolving ectopic pregnancies in humans. I would appreciate
it if someone with knowledge and some tim UF:uld explain its role, since
the drs (human) I have spoken with are clueless.

Thanks!

PS - we are having bizzare server problems, so if weird garble appears in
this message, ple UD>don't think its from me!
