I rarely post so if this is old news, I apologize...

Veterinary Pet insurance
1-800=872-7387

sells pet insurance for all types of pets, including exotics (rats,
hedgehogs, ferrets..)

Group rates are available.

You need to see if your vet takes it, but quite a few seem to do.

We are going to insurance our crew. The ferrets need to be healthy prior
to enrollment and pre-existing diseases are not covered.

Nine ferrets and one hedgehog are going to cost 121.60 per month.

Cancers are covered and you can, for extra cost, get a extra rider
for extra coverage. It pays 90% of your plan's corresponding benefit
schedule allowance per incident for eligible expenses. vaccinations
and routine care are covered.

[Moderator's note: I suggest carefully reading the exclusions and perhaps
searching the FML archives about this -- it's been very helpful for some
people but much less so for others. Don't forget -- companies that offer
insurance are betting you'll spend more on premiums than they will spend
on claims: if it sounds too good to be true... read the policy :-) BIG]
