[???  BIG] hen you listed all the ingredients in the ferret food you
bought.  The most important information about new diets is animal trials to
see how they do on a particular food.  Even if two diets have the exact
same levels of protein,fat, minerals, etc.  they may be dramatically
different.  This is because the most important thing is that the diet is
digestable to the species it is made for.  Certain types of proteins are
more digestable then others.  Some diets contain many by products which may
contain a large amount of protein, but if it is not very digestable it is
useless.  This is why it is more important to hear from other ferret owners
that their ferret do well and have a good coat on the diet is more
important then the list of ingredients.
