We had the exact same thing happen with our petland in Biloxi, MS.
They called Marshalls and took it (a female albino) to see the vet.
Unfortunately their vet is one that I have had problems with. Also as
someone who used to work at a pet store its not about the pets sadly.
Its about the customer, the appearance and money. I actually got in
trouble once for playing with animals when iIworked at the pet store.
They said my job was to get customers to buy something and to clean,
that the customers could play with the animals. Oh and petland also
tells their workers to put down a ferret or tap its nose if it bites. I
cant tell you how many times and how many people I have told "No you
have to scruff them and shake them and tell them no or they dont
understand". I hope that this at least helps you understand that you
are most definitely NOT alone, neither is the little girl. Good Luck

Jill in MS
