Sandi Robinson of the Heaven Scent Rescue/Shelter knows the meaning of
hard work. A cashier, she once worked 68 hours in a week - and brought
home less than $450. Nevertheless, Sandi works every hour of overtime
she can to keep her shelter running.

survived for two days outside, where his owners had tossed him after
being mangled by the family dog; and Ms. Smokey, the little girl whose
owners advised Sandi to feed her macaroni and cheese.
