Your ferret needs to eat either veterinary-quality cat food (Iams, Science
Diet, Hill's or something comparable) or food specially formulated for
ferrets.  These are available at any pet supply store or by mail order.
These foods are higher in protein and other nutrients that are important
for ferrets.  Dog food is not adequate to meet your ferret's nutritional
needs.
