Hi FMLers. I just recieved in the mail a copy of the 1996 Ferret Calendar
from my friend and former pseudo-father-in-law (oh, don't ask) Quentin
Kopp- a California State Senator (I-SF, district 9 if i recall correctly.)

Anyway, number one, the calendar is exceptionally cute. Number two, when I
called him to say thanks, i mentioned to his assistant that the MA bill had
passed and that I hoped they were continuing their pro-ferret efforts (i
used to be constantly lobbying quentin and his staff, but since i moved to
pa i'm not as up on things out west). Anyway, my POINT is, that she told me
"oh, we're committed to getting ferrets free and legal in California!" - and
she also mentioned that CDFA "never stops" working on them...way to go,
CDFA. Oh, and she also said "aren't they the cutest things!"

So, I was happy to learn that efforts are continuing out there, because last
time I talked to Quentin he mentioned to me he'd been getting some flak over
"the ferret thing" and in fact tried to blame it all on me for ever "siccing
the ferret people" on him (um, those quotes are based on a memory that is
about 6 months old. please don't hold me to the exact wording.)

So, i just thought I'd mention it.
CA residents, keep on lobbying. And if there's anything I can do to help,
I'd be happy to....(hey, CDFA...do you guys have a web page? do you want
one? email me if you'd like me to help set one up, free of charge.)

kisses to all fuzzies
and i hope all snow-tunnelling fuzzies are keeping warm enough!

Hillary
