[log in to unmask] questioned watermelon for ferrets. I am no
proffesional.... but I think it would be common sense that watermelon
would be bad as a common treat. Ferrets are carnivores. Human's who are
omnivores can get stomack cramps, and .. well...runs from too much
watermelon. So imagine its effect on a ferrets system.

I give my one ferret there a teaspoon of some once in a greaaaaaaat while
during melon season. She probably only had less than ten "bites" this
past season. My others are allowed to lick the melon half to death for a
short period. thats it. I'm sure its not too good for them.
