Hello FML family,
We just wanted to take the time to thank Debra, Maria, Jeff and Brad
for their raffle donations. I will be emailing your ticket numbers
tomorrow. We wish you all great luck in the raffle hope you get your
choices. Also thank you to those of you who have helped us in the past.
Some of you have donated more than just to our raffle and we want you
to know that your efforts have gone along way in helping the ferrets
here at the rescue.

For some of these ferrets this will be their last home and we do our
best to make them as comfortable, chubby and playful as possible. We
had a wonderful addition to the rescue today. When the phone call came
some of the other rescue mom's may have noticed a call from me this
afternoon. I was trying my best to get a very neglected ferret out of
a bad situation in a pet shop. Needless to say the pet store wasn't
cooperating. Luckily the young man who called me about the situation
went ahead and paid for her and got her to me. Upon arrival her eyes
were sunken in and she was dehydrated and lethargic. Beautiful
chocolate sable female and young surprisingly. After fluids, food and
a bath she is doing better than expected. She is taking her feedings
surprisingly well. When I tried to pay him for the fee of the ferret
he declined and said just take care of her. The young man that brought
her to me has adopted 4 ferrets from us. This February will be a yr.

He has had them all. I am grateful there are those individuals like
this out there willing to love and watch out for our little one who
leave here. Even with all the screening I sometimes wonder is this
ferret going to a good home? It's hard to let go sometimes but in cases
like our 4 that have a great home I feel at ease knowing absolutely
with no doubt in my mind they are in a wonderful home and I smile,
sigh and know there is a purpose to serve and I have a reason to
continue on. Thank you Brad for your kindness and love for ferrets.
