my fat, funny male ferret, Orson, is dying of heart failure and i need 2nd
opinions on the treatment.  his left chamber isn't strong enough, and fluid
is building up in his lungs.  he's not really functioning except at a basic
survival level.  has anyone else been through this?  can you recommend
anything?  i've got him on Lasix (diuretic) as well as digitalis, but he's
deteriorating anyway.  any advice is greatly appreciated.  tom
 
p.s. i'm taking advice via e-mail because i live in Nicaragua and the vets
here, though decent, have never seen ferrets before.
