There is a nasty strain of the people Flu going around here in LA. I know
it's going around everywhere, but it has affected so many around me.

A couple of days ago my 3 babies ( 2 male and 1 female ) started sneezing a
bit more than usual. Then yesterday the sneezing started to sound "wet".
Today I took them all to the vet and found out that they have Influenza.

The doctor told me that ferrets can get people flu and can pass it back to
people as well. New one on me. I was always under the assumption that the
Flu didn't cross species. I 'spose I was wrong.

Anyway, he prescribed Trimet and I started them on that today. He said it
was pretty much that and warmth, food, water, etc. If they get worse I am
to take them back for fear of possible pneumonia, other than that it's just
wait.

It's so sad to see them all breathing through their mouths and sneezing and
wheezing.  =(

Take care all and beware this nasty bug,
Max
