The postings in regards to Mr. Owings and his ferrets was done in the
deepest of respects and not meant to be a flame, one can clearly see
that in the way that the posts were written. No need to get defensive
though I could see how one would. While I would not want to see David
not post because he is afraid to now, on the other hand, I myself have
sat here after reading several posts saying to myself, "Some households
just should not have ferrets for pets,". It does not mean they are not
a loving home. Or a bad ferret mommy/daddy. It simply means they are
not equipped to take care of a ferret. Accident after accident will
typically mean the latter. I am currently owned by five and have never
(I know, sheer luck) had any problems with any dying, escaping, or just
simply an accidental death.

After all, this list is about taking care of *cough* FERRETS, is it not??
Perhaps we just need to educate Mr. Owings how to be a better ferret
daddy so he is better equipped.
