Hello, all,

Now I'm curious. Just how big is this list ? When and how was it started?
It seems as if the majority of subscribers are American , but I'd love to
know how many countries are represented.

BIG, it seems as if you must be plugged into your computer 24/7. This must
be an enormous undertaking ! Please tell us what a "normal" day in the
life of the FML moderator is like. (Here's your chance to toot your own
horn ! We all appreciate everything you do. ) Can't wait to hear,

[Moderator's note: The (somewhat dated) intro which gets sent when someone
subscribes tells a bit about the history of the list. I'm not in front of
the computer 24/7... but perhaps it's close ;-) Many people on the list
have met me -- they will confirm that there's not too much more weird stuff
to tell about me than that :-)

Unfortuantely, there's no way to tell how many countries are represented
since addresses like CompuServe.com or hotmail.com etc. can be anywhere.
I know of 26 courtries represented based on country codes of email
addresses which show them, but there are likely subscribers from many more
countries than that.

Tooting my own horn? Nah... BIG]
