I am not sure why your vet would have switched your ferrets from a proven
food formula to CD-- CD is a corn protein base -- something ferrets cannot
digest optimally -- if this was related to a UTI problem I would suggest
getting Totally Ferret Senior diet.
 
We are having WONDERFUL results from it with our oldster.  The youngsters as
well on Totally Ferret.
 
DISTILLED water-- is not a helpful water resource unless you are compounding
meds.  They are always thirsty as there are no MINERALS in distilled
water--- perhaps spring water would be a better way to go???
