Possible salmonella

I do NOT see ferret products, but we all know that ferrets sometimes
steal from dogs or cats, and I vaguely recall someone on a list once
mentioning feeding "Natural Cat" which is one of the recalled items.

For full details including a list of the recalled pet foods as of
09/13/08.

This post may be carried unaltered and complete to other lists where
the topic is permitted. I will post on the FHL and FML.

Ferrets do not usually get salmonella BUT when they do it is very hard
to treat and can be fatal. (See past vet posts on that topic in the
archives of both lists to which I am sending.)

There look to over 100 cat and dog foods involved.
