For starters...I'd like to wish everyone the happiest of holidays, health
in the new year.
 
Now I would like to thank those who responded to a post a few weeks
back...Thank you.....My post was two ferts needed homes due to one of
their owners is terminally ill.
 
This has a happy ending...really.
 
I have two a male and a female and They have been with me for 3.5+ yrs
now...The situation came up and though I knew deep down I couldn't take
in more due to having a house full of animals already..2 dogs, 2 snakes
(which are now gone), breeder rats (are also gone), my boyfriend and
brother....well needless to say my boyfriend fell in love with the black
angora and I fell in love with the other...
 
Now here's the good part, their mom who is staying in Boston at the
hospital was going nuts not knowing who had or where her ferrets
were....The Lady who was sitting for them gave them to another woman who
has her own and has experience with ferrets....WELL, being warned that the
angora was a nipper... she got bit and had to have a stitch on her nose and
immediately brought them back....This is were I came in, I got in touch
with the sitter and picked the up that next day, made my post here on the
list, that next day they had a home....One fellow FML poster called and
said good news bad news...good news she was surprised with a holiday
ferret... .bad news she couldn't take them.....So this is where I started
adding...now I can relate to ferret math....Well to wrap this up....Their
mom finally got in touch with me and we had to have talked for a good hour,
I caught up on their history, their behavior good/bad.....I'm glad to say
they are now in another loving environment and they won't have to worry
about being bounced around.....NOW to top the whole story off....thier was
an article in our local news paper about a woman in P-Town who was dressing
her ferrets for the holiday, so I keep reading and then I realized this was
the woman who was bit by this angora....BOY oh BOY....she made these
ferrets look like ax-murder'ers....she quoted "When ferrets are wild they
can be vicious, and those two are wild" ( I'm not giving names)!!!....Well
I have to say the two of them are SO far from being wild it's funny... She
definitely rubbed me wrong and this is where all of our ferrets get a bad
wrap....I am going to write the paper and verify that these two are
harmless and if anyone is smart enough they wouldn't put an animal of any
breed to their face....SO, The ferrets are happy, their mom is happy
knowing they are in a ferret safe environment and last but not least I'm
happy to have been able to help a ferret or two....Merry X-mas and a Happy
