The vet that I see charges one office visit per type of animal seen.  We
brought in two ferrets and one cat at one time and were charged for two
office visits.  Also, he doesn't charge an office visit when getting the
yearly exam and shots routine.  Each shot runs $16 so a yearly exam and
shots only costs $32.  This is pretty cool if you ask me.  This vet is the
cheapest and most ferret knowledgable that I know of in the area.  He once
taught at the U of MN and is one of the top vets for microbial parasites.
The 24 hour emergency service at the clinic rings his home.
 
Just in case you couldn't tell, I love my vet!
