Hi to all,
Drag received his blood transfusion on Tuesday. Our Fat Freddie donated
some of his healthy blood for Drag. I talked with Dr. Kolmstetter that
day about our options for Drag. So here is the plan. We are not worried
so much about his anemia, it was at 33% before the transfusion so it will
be ok for the surgery with the new blood. His Glucose level is fine and
all his other vitals are great.

Drag can not longer urinate at all, even with being squeezed, we are
empting his bladder by putting a needle in his bladder to empty it. We
both know that he can not live like this. Dr. K also feels that his
bladder may be compartmented, we don't know how it got like this but by
doing the cystos, she came to this conclusion.

So on Thursday morning at 8 am Vegas time Drag will undergo what we hope to
be a successfull bladder reduction surgery. The pproblems we are facing
are that, his bladder may just fall apart when she tries to work with it,
from being so distended and the bladder wall being so thickened, this is a
great possiblity. She hopes to reduce the size, take out any bladder cysts
that may be in there, and place a urinary cathiter in him. we won't want
to mes with the bladder for at least 10 days post surgey so we hope the
drain will work. If hte bladder surgery goes well, we will consider doing
a P/U at that time, if not if he recovers and survives the surgery we will
do it down the road. This surgery in essence will reroute his urinary
tract, so he will them urinate as a female instead of a male. This will
help when we have to go back to the squeezing.

I am very afraid of doing the surgery tomorrow, his bladder has a good
chance of being inoperable, or just falling apart. If this happens we
will lhave to let him go.

I went and played with Drag before his transfusion, we played in the grass
and I snuck him some NutriCal. When Dr. K went to take him back, he
usually is ok with that. This time he layed his ears flat and looked at me
and tried to get away from her. This surprised her as he has never done
that before. Drag is tired of all this and he wanted to come home. I did
get to bring him home later that day. So Wednesday is Drags day. We will
play, be with his friends, Bandit, Brownie, Chyna and Pudgy. We will take
pics and videos. He will have to play in short times as I don't want him
exhausted for tomorrow. I can not express how worried I am, the surgery is
a HIGH RISK, but with out it he will die. i can't sleep and I didn't know
I had so many tears left to cry.

I need all of your help: at 8 am LAs Vegas time, I need everyone to pray,
light candles, send positive thoughs, or what ever is your belief is to do,
please send it to Drag, he needs all the positive thoughts he can get. I
will be with him the whole time, so I will not be able to be reached.
Please help him.

If all does go well he will have to stay with Dr. K for at least a week.
If this happens if any one could send a card his way, I'll hang them on his
hospital cage so he knows he is loved. I'll post the hospital addy if this
happens.

The Dragster needs the support of the ferret community more now that he
ever has.

Thank you all for listening about him, if you ever get to meet this kind
soul you'll know why I'm so woried about him. He deserves a chance at
living his life.

Thank you,
CJ
