Dear Emily,
I would certainly recommend taking Willis to his vet for an exam.  Your vet
will discuss with you if there is an indication for an x-ray of his lungs.
Being on the floor during fire/smoke is the best place he could have been,
and the fact that he is showing no symptoms is a very good sign.  Very
sorry about your friend...
