There is NOTHING wrong with using chicken or other meat baby foods to
mix with medications or even as the primary diet of a sick ferret for a
period of time. Because of the lack of many vitamins and minerals, it
is not adequate as a long term diet. You can add a little ferretone or
ferretvite type supplement to add vitamins, but it will still lack
minerals.

If Bob's post has you concerned about the amount of fat in baby food,
make your own from skinless, boneless chicken. Put through a meat
grinder and cook in water, then run through the blender until smooth.
Or if you don't have a meat grinder, cook the chicken than chop finely
before blending.

Long term, you can make Bob's chicken gravy or add finely ground kibble
to the chicken gravy if you can't get them back on a solid diet.

Bottom line, don't let Bob's post put you off chicken baby food!
