1. Anyone who sends out bad mouthing letters using someone else's name
falsely is likely to also be lying through his or her teeth about the
subject which is being addressed.  In this case it was health accusations
about a shelter.
 
2. Since the closing of the Fuzztek ADV+ ONLY shelter branch there has
been a void which badly needs filling.  Until there are shelters for
such positive ferrets the shelterers -- who have already proven their
love for ferrets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, month after month and
year after year -- will have to make absolutely heartbreaking choices to
protect most of the shelter ferrets when ADV + ferrets show up but no one
on their adoption list with ADV+ homes can take those ferrets, either
because they are actively shedding or because they are simply too ill
during an already hard time.  It is a tall order to fill, but if someone
is looking for a very hard and incredibly loving thing to do then
providing a shelter for only ADV+ ferrets would be a great gift to
ferretdom.
 
3. Feel very free to share the letter I wrote about my name being
falsely used on that letter, and feel very free to share this letter,
too.
 
4. There will always be some destructive -- possibly even dangerously
insane -- people out there who like to hurt other ferret people.  When
you get an ugly email -- especially if it comes from an address you do
not recognize even if you do recognize the name -- CHECK to make sure
that some crazy jerk isn't abusing your trust and decency as well as
abusing the target of the letter and the person who is faced with an
imposter.
