Well, Lucy is going to have exploratory surgery on Wed for what my vet and
I believe is adrenal disease, although her adrenal panel is normal. Since
no vet in the Charlottesville area does this kind of surgery, the very
competent vet who did Tobys' adrenal surgery in June is doing Lucys'. I
know in my heart that it is an adrenal gland, and am happy but very nervous
once again about the surgery. We have an hour drive both ways, and in June
when I brought Toby home he stood up in the carrier all the way home and
caused his incision to ooze a little. I am not worried about this with
Lucy, but the vet has said that if he has to remove both adrenals he
prefers not to deal with the insulinomae, because that would be traumatic.
If so, should I take along karo syrup in case on a glucose crash? Also, I
know that she would remain on Pred if both adrenals are removed; what other
meds are needed?

Thanks.
