Stridex pads are an old standby for rattail, but I've found something that
works much better.  I found Johnson & Johnson's Clean & Clear Foaming
Facial Wash on the acne shelf in my local Wal-Mart.  You just wet the tail
and apply the Clean & Clear then scrub it real well with a hand brush or
soft tooth brush.  RInse well and scratch out any remaining blackheads
with a finger nail or toothpick.  Do this daily for about 2 weeks, then
twice a week until the tail stays clean.  Several other people have
followed this and have reported good results also.
