My Pepper passed away this morning.

I came home from work yesterday to find her unconscious. I took her to the
vet and after about 2 hours, I was told she had suspected insulinoma and
that she was in a "coma" due an attack. They were giving her fluids thru
an iv, and I guess somesgar water on her gums. They wanted to keep her,
but I found out there would be no one on staff with her, so I brought her
home and continued the sugar water, and karo syrup myself every 10 minutes
of so. Around 11pm she seemed coherent, like she was coming off anistetic
(sp) or something. She willingly took the water from me, but no food, and
I noticed she was bleeding from what seemed like the iv hole. We managed
to control the bleeding and continued with the water until I noticed at 4am
a puddle of blood under her, from a seemed like her mid back. We couldn't
stop the bleeding and her wimpering became more intense so I left at 7:45
to take he to the vets to be put down. We never made it there. She died
in my arms 5 minutes from the office.

Intense pain and loss right now.

So many questions. Like DID she have insulinoma? If so, did they puncture
something with the IV causing her to bleed to death internally? Or did a
tumor rupture causing her to go unconscious (when I found her) which caused
her death.

I guess I'd need an autopsy. She would have been 5 in July.
