SOme news this week is Good NEWS! On Tuesday this week United Vaccines
notified us that Ziggy Too , the abandoned and nearly starved to death
who was admitted on Wednesday last week is ADV negative!!

How wonderful that was - since the call he has been getting two shifts
out each day for exercise. Meanwhile, Ziggy Too is eating and eating &
eating. There are actually hints of guard hairs now- brown where white
has been... I do not think I have ever witnessed a ferret sooo starved- I
know I said that when Gravy & Biscuit arrived. This poor kid was so
depleted that for the first 5 days his stools were pale in color the body
was taking everything it could from the food which consists of as much
quality kibble mix as he will eat to 2-3 bowls of gravy a day to Nutrical
2-3 times a day! You CAN feel a weight difference when you lift him
up... He has finally been found today in the third floor of his cage
unit... and is getting secure enough that he will nap outside the cage in
a cozy pillowhouse.

He sends heartfelt thanks to Chuey & Doodle and Uncle Jed for their rehab
donations.

The BEST thing we have found since he has been eating a great diet is
that Ziggy Too appears to be MUCH YOUNGER than we thought initially - the
staining on his teeth has worn off! Must have been the vegetarian kibble
he was eating-- now we are thinking he MAY have even been a Christmas
ferret-- we are keeping close tabs on his weight gain and hopefully he
may even have a growth spurt when he recovers more fully! We will be
very pleased if we can find an adoptive home for him when the time is
right!

Here is a picture of him form yesterday-- he is still thin-- BUT his eyes
are not sunken and he is bright and settling in well!

Hooray for Ziggy

[Moderator's note: The picture wasn't sent to the FML but it would have
been removed anyhow since it's a plain-text digest. BIG]
