Brett and Missy wrote about missing tail fur and blackheads.  My female had
the same problem.  Try washing the tail with an anti-bacterial soap (like
Dial liquid hand soap).  It worked for me - kills whatever cooties are
causing the problem.  Takes a little time for the fur to come back, but it
does.
