I have been recently told that you can smell ferret when you walk in my
house.I dont know if Im just use to it because I dont smell anything.  I
have went through the archives and I have a few questions.  Someone said
you can use childrens leave in conditioner on the ferrets.  What brand
can you use?How often can you use it?  Is it ok to use it every other day
and does it have to be used only after a bath or can you use it when they
are dry.Will it hurt them if they lick it off?
 
I also read about ferret wipes.  I cant seem to find any.  Would it be ok
to use the pet wipes for cats or dogs or can you use baby wipes and how
often can you use them?  I rarlely give mine a bath.I know too many baths
have the opposite effect because it strips the skin of oils and makes
them smelly.  I only give them one when I think they are getting smelly.
So they have only had about 2 or 3 baths since I have had them.I change
the litter pans every other day and I also completely clean them at the
same time.
 
I also read a post about brushing them and spraying the brush with a
body spray.  What kind of body spray?  Is it safe because they groom
themselves and will it irritate their skin?
 
I got some chicken baby food for them after alot of protest they took a
little and they seem to like it but they dont go crazy over it.  It looks
rich so, do I need to water it down just a little?  I have a unused
bottle of pedialite from when Doodle was sick.Im trying to add alot of
healthy meat based food to the diet along with the kibble.  Is it ok to
do that or am I going over board?  I got some chicken, beef, and turkey
baby food and some gerbers chicken sticks.  I am going to try some boiled
gizzards/hearts today.Does this sound ok?Btw, I have 5 ferrets.  Thanks
