Ok, so it's been about a month (or so) ago when people were talking
about relative's reactions to their ferrets, but I just had to vent.  My
mother-in-law's father came for a visit (holidays & all).  He showed up
unexpectedly, & my ferrets were out running around.  He came in & they
naturally ran up to sniff his shoes & see who he was.  Totally innocent,
right?
 
First thing out of his mouth..."What are these things?"  My mom-in-law
said ferrets... He looks at me & says "I've got a gun out in the car; do
you want me to shoot them for you?" {not that would make it any better,
but he wasn't smiling or laughing either.}
 
Yeah.  Great way to win someone over.
