My SO and I are looking to adopt a kitten or young cat. We have three very
curious, frisky ferrets who we hope won't torment the poor kitty too much,
but I suspect that they'll get along just fine, as the posts from the FLO
and FDI seem to prove ;P

Now here's my question: Do you know of any person or place in the Ann Arbor,
MI area that has kittens or young cats up for adoption? My SO and I know
that a lot of shelters in NY (where we used to live) has policies that
specifically single out students from adopting one of their charges, saying
that we (college students) won't have the time/responsibility to take care
of and nurture one of their animals.

This just seems completely unfair --- it seems that a college student who
has classes from 10-1 every day and then comes home to a spacious apartment
would have more time to spend with his or her little fuzzbutts than someone
who is working fulltime at a 9-5 job.

So, please, if you know of any people or shelters who don't have this
policy around the Ann Arbor area and who are looking for a nice loving
family to give a kitten or young cat to, please reply with email to:
