Following is a message that we received today from a concerned ferret
parent in Italy regarding a ferret with diagnosed lymphoma. Her question
has actually been posed by her vet who is not very aware of proper
treatment protocols involving Interferon. Is there someone on this list
that could help direct her or her vet to someone who has a good knowledge
base in this situation? It would be very much appreciated. Please send
e-mail responses to: [log in to unmask]

Greetings Wuzzles:

I am writing you from Italy, where few vets can care for ferrets. One of
my family's ferrets has a lymphoma tumor and our vet has asked us to find
information on the dosage of interferon treatments for him. We found your
web site's information about a chemotherapy protocol, and are hoping that
you can direct us to more specific sources. For example, do you know of a
vet who might be willing to discuss this over email with us or our vet?
The ferret is quite sick so we would appreciate your speedy response, if
that is possible.

Thank you very much,
Daisy Castelli
